QPods™ have been used successfully
to ship chilled meat alongside frozen meat in the same
refrigerated sea container from New Zealand to Europe
and USA.
This is the first time a sea container carrying
a mixture of frozen and chilled meat has been shipped
from one side of the world to the other, a total transit
time of 36 days.
The
advantages of this application include; freight savings
compared to airfreight, new transport and marketing flexibility
and the potential to sell more chilled meat.

Another
application for QPods™ includes road freight operators
being able to transport perishables in QPods™ alongside
dry cargo.
